Human Technology

Saturday, January 30, 2010

These days, consumers seem more comfortable with the technology equipment in its marketing approach emphasizes more emotional side rather than the technology offers.
Want proof?

Let us look back to the global mobile phone giant war about 2 years ago: Nokia Vs. Ericsson.
In technology, Ericsson is known for higher-tech and sophisticated. In marketing communications campaigns and even, top European brands was more emphasis on product capabilities and sophistication of the technology. However unfortunately, developed a sophisticated technology Ericsson is "for the sake of the technology itself", rather than to "humanize" its customers.
While Nokia is the opposite, more human side to promote its products.

It's true Nokia using advanced technology, but rarely emphasize that sophistication.

Why is that?
Because Nokia knows exactly that customers do not want complicated by the sophistication of a technology. What customers want is just how capable the technology is easier for her life, rather than complicate their needs with the technological sophistication of their creation.
